Repost - Fall Winter 2011/12 Givenchy Haute Couture show

Referring to my previous post, I received a feed back from a friend who wishes to see more details of this collection. So I went searching for more photos of this show but then I think it would be great if I can provide more visual so that my readers can take a closer look at these breathlessly beautiful gowns.

Found 2 videos, one is a simple introduction of the pieces displaying at the back stage of the show and another included an interview of the talented designer - Riccardo Tisci by style.com reporter, explaining the process of the collection and zooming in each piece of "Work of Art"... I almost hold my breath when I see those magnificent craftsmanship and bead work.

Enjoy Your Givenchy Moment!

Fall Winter 2011/2012 VALENTINO Haute Couture

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Picciolo for Valentino Fall/Winter 2011-2012 Haute Couture show on early July in Paris was inspired by the Russian aristocratic emigrants who came to Paris after the Revolution.
Both designers successfully brought modernized Medieval princesses to live.
Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Picciolo
A fleet of tall, super-thin ethereal-looking models with hair in braids piled Heidi style on their heads, paraded day to evening pieces which are made of ultra-luxurious fabrics executed with faultless cut, and yet offered a new take on a traditional theme.

Love their make up - clean, youthful and radiance.

Slim-fitting and crafted pieces from mixtures of heavy to  light gorgeous fabrics like velvets, gold thread brocades and Chantilly lace etc...  in black, red, whites, silver and pale colours of gold, nudes, creams and  that accentuated the feel of lightness.

Fall Winter 2011/2012 - Chanel Haute Couture Part 2

This is part 2 of Fall Winter 2011/2012 Chanel Haute Couture show which was held on 5th July, 2011 during Paris Fashion week.  I have featured on beauty and the art directions of the runway show in my previous post, now let's see the collections.

The colors of the outfits are the usual black, white, grey, navy and magenta. There's the signature Chanel tweed suits, different lengths of dresses and skirts, wide legged pants all with the accent of 1920's.  with details of ruffles, pleating, feathers, beading and more.  Styled with fingerless gloves and high boots which made of different materials and a simple pump with blue neon light.  No jewelry and handbags are shown which is a huge disappointment to me... may be Karl wants viewers to focus on their couture.

Selected several images of my most favorite outfits of the runway show.  I originally placed smaller size images as to fit and reduce the length of the post, but then I realized that readers can't really see the details of the couture. Overall view,  this is the most impressive show so far and I hope you like it too.

Fall Winter 2011/2012 - Chanel Haute Couture Part 1

Chanel Fall Winter 2011/2012 Haute Couture show was held on 5th July 2011 during Paris fashion week, it's obvious that is pure Coco Chanel.  The genius, Karl Lagerfeld, (the head of designer and  art director of Chanel, also of his own label fashion house, as well as the Italian house Fendi) showcased  a full collection of day to evening wear.

The set was dark as usual and the backdrop for the show was a neon-limned mock-up of the Place Vendôme, with the runway took the form of a dark city street complete with lamps, building facades, a starry night sky and a huge Chanel statue as the center piece where model parade the collection around it.

Fall Winter 2011/2012 Givenchy Haute Couture

Chief designer of Givenchy - Riccardo Tisci showed us lightness, fragile and sheerness for the brand's Fall Winter 2011/2012 Haute Couture show.  Only 10 pieces are presented and almost all are in white, but each outfits are crafted with extreme details of embroideries, intricate beading with pearls, gems, feathers etc... on sheer delicate fabrics. Givenchy has never disappoint to show off their superb craftsmanship, all of the outfits are time consuming hand work and only the elites of this field be able to produce such incredible work.  I personally think that the models look like ancient angels,  so graceful, effortless and elegant!

Needless to say more, I have selected a few pieces of my most favorite pieces... Again these are purely the FINE ARTS OF COUTURE!

Fall/Winter 2011/2012 Haute Couture show - Christian Dior (Part 2)

It's Paris fashion week again and the famous Christian Dior had their Fall Winter 2011/2012 Haute Couture show on 4th July, 2011 by Bill Gaytten whom I had introduced in my previous post featuring hair, make up, headgear, fashion jewelries and shoes. I'm uncertain with the main theme but everyone has their own point of view.  My favorite outfit are the simple green and brick red long dresses, silver ribbon details and the clown finale gowns.  Wandering what's yours?

Fall/Winter 2011/2012 Haute Couture Show - Christian Dior ( Part 1)

I have been waiting for Paris fashion week's  Fall haute couture shows scheduled from 4th to 7th July 2011 since March ... counting down every day.  Normally Fall Haute Couture show is the best and most dramatic of all season and world class design houses showcase their incredible magnificent pieces. Finally this is it... And I can now share my excitement with you here.

Bill Gaytten, an English man who has worked along side with John Galliano (the formal chief art director of Christian Dior and the House of John Galliano) for 23 years finally stepped out and presented a haute couture show on 4th July, 2011 in Paris fashion week for Christian Dior.  I'm sure this will be a HOT topic in the fashion world.

I understand each designer has their signature, taste and different design point of view, I'm here to share what  Bill Gaytten has done to put up his 1st Haute Couture show but not comparing their work - even thought I miss John's creations terribly.  For me, this show is  not as dramatic and spectacular like Galliano has done previously. .   There are a few pieces of outfits are quite adorable as the House of Christian Dior is one of the world's top couture house with incredible unique craftsmanship.  I'm confused of what's the overall theme is after seeing all the collection, from the crazy paving jackets with ruffled collar to bar jacket, light organza/chiffon dresses, heavily ruffled dresses with fancy trimmings etc... There's a lot going on and mixture of pastel colors indeed...the abstract make up, artistic hair pieces & head gears, chunky fashion jewelries and accessories.

Judge for your self, posted tons of photos courtesy of style.com in this post.  Here are some interesting ones plus some selections of my favorite outfits.

Delfina Delettrez Fall 2011 Fashion Jewelry

She may be young, but she's fierce and is already a superstar in the fashion world.  Delfina Delettrez - a beautiful talented designer, a fourth generation of the Fendi... now has a brand of her own in jewelry designing since her 1st collection in fall 2007 in Paris which gain international press.  I have posted my selected favorite  pieces her creations in some of  my previous posts, but I think she deserves to be feature here solely.

Delfina Delettrez has a rich background - born in Italy,  spent her childhood between Rome and Rio de Jeneiro while attended French school, and later studied at American high school.  She did 3 placements at Chanel's style office for haute couture in Paris.  Her jewelry portraits her personality - Young, playful, unusual, Gothic and romantic.  She love to work with different types of metal e.g. copper, silver, gold, iron, ceramic etc... combine with a variety of crystals, gems, semi precious stones, bones, leather etc... Each pieces of jewelry is a Wow factor.

Apart from some of her pieces which I featured in my previous posts, here's a unique bee series by Delfina Delettrez Fall 2011collection... different from her usual skulls, goth theme which I am really impress and MUST share...Enjoy!
