Glass Pearls with Gunmetal Chains Necklace & Earrings (NK,ER015)

Pearls are elegant and classy, but sometimes they may made us appear matronly if we style or wear them with a wrong outfit or choices a certain  design of the pearl jewelry.  There are many different types of pearls regardless of their value e.g.  plastic pearls, glass pearls, cultured pearls, mother of pearls, shell pearls etc... which may comes in different shapes and sizes.  It has a unique shine that is totally different from any other surface...As my favorite fashion icon Coco Chanel loved to match her outfits with pearls jewelry and accessories.

I always love to use pearls in my jewelry designs, mix and match them with "rougher" looking beads or other material to modernize them.  Here I like share this set of fashion jewelry that I handmade using rounded glass pearls with gunmetal chains and findings:

Beads:
Off White Glass Pearls in (4,6,8,10 & 12mm)

Cords:
Gunmetal footage chains in 2 different sizes

Findings and Finishing:
Gunmetal findings and finished with gunmetal lobster clasp.

Work in Progress:
With pin technique, I arranged glass pearls randomly, mixing different sizes together.

Rhinestones Pendant with silver glass pearls necklace and bracelet (NK,BR023)

I'm sure many of you are like me who has a collection of jewelries that are just sitting in your jewelry box/storage that you have not been using for a while.  Some just ignore them or throw them away during spring cleaning but there are ways to make them modern and wearable again with a little creativity.  For example, gather pieces old earrings parts and attach them onto a plain chain to make a new necklace or bracelets, you can even add on brooches and pendants with ribbons, beads, buttons etc... and transform into a new piece of jewelry.

I have a rhinestone pendant that I think it's way too matronly to be wore by itself but I purchase it because I wanna construct a necklace and place it as the center piece. I used...

Beads
Silver and rhinestone pendant,
silver glass pearls

Cords
Tigers tails, nickel and gunmetal chains

Findings and Finishing
metal findings and finished with metal toggle clasp decorated with gunmetal chain tassels.

Revamp SooChin's Natural Crystals Part II

Soo Chin has a beautiful citrine bracelet, clear and golden...but it's bored to see just the same beads so i weaved and string them into a 2 in 1 bracelet, decorated with some similar color faceted glass beads and  rhinestones spacer wheels.

Revamp SooChin's Natural Crystals Part I

I have promised my dear friend Soo Chin to design some jewelry for her, and weeks ago, she, handed me a bunch of her "EXPENSIVE" precious natural crystal collection during our dinner session.

I feel so thrill to see those "collector items" which she has been collecting years ago and still keeping them like precious.. I know that some single bracelet cost few thousands  for each.  I'm glad I have the honor to redesign and make them fashionable, special and most important made by me  :).

All 13 natural crystal bracelet has 5 very interesting varieties of Rutiles, 3 Amethyst, 2bStar Rose quartz, 1 Star Garnet, 2 Green Phantoms, and some clear crystal beads which was originally beaded with the rest of the crystals using just elastic cords.

Soo Chin's Natural Crystals collection.

I start with Rutiles... especially the one which are most pricey... There is the Round beads Cat's Eye Golden Rutile bracelets.., Oval Rutiles and I had combined 2 multi color rutile bracelets into one design and decorated the beads with some metal bead caps...

Redesigning Intan's Swatch Viviennne Westwood watch

I had promised a close friend of mine - Intan, to help her repair a Swatch Vivienne Westwood watch... which was a gift by her hubby long ago... And she did give the freedom to redesign.
There I was looking at the "long abandon" watch...
Should i be just stringing it back with new elastic cords... something similar with the original design?
The original spacers are metal gold round beads.. I then replaced them with 4mm Siam Swarovski crystal bicone beads... so here's how it looks like:

Honestly, it looks Normal...
I then dismantle everything, I wanted to do something totally different.
Since the face of this collectible watch is in gold, therefore I decided to go with a gold base - added some metal gold chains, matching fancy 3 loop connectors and a gold coin and ...
Now the watch looks like this :)

When I presented it to her the other night, she was thrilled, and she loves it ( a relief to me!)
I think it looks more " fashionable" now.
For the remanding beads ( rectangular shaped wrist part) i did a dangling necklace.
