Jewelry Spring 2013 - Erickson Beamon

It's almost the end of 2012 and jewelry designers have already revealed their latest 2013 collections... first and foremost, I am thrill to share with you my most favorite, the famous duo - Erickson Beamon's  Spring 2013 jewelries...

Purple Glass Beads Necklace & Earrings

I have been taking a long break from this blog since June... Having sometime to visit dad, do relax & gather myself -  time flies and it's seems 2012 goes by in a blink...  I think it's time to post again. Since I love jewelry and I love designing jewelry...  Sharing is my main purpose to start this blog since 2008 - and I'll keep on posting whenever I have new creations and thoughts to share... I love vintage jewelry, especially Victorian... they are so elegant and timeless... This reminds me of a set of jewelry I crafted.  It's a deep purple faceted glass beads with gunmetal that looked vintage to me.

Beads & Materials:

Silver tigers tail & nickel extension chain.

Purple Ribbon Flowers with faceted Glass Beads Necklace & Earrings (NKERs014)

People who loves crafts must have a lot of "left-overs" materials from previous projects... As I was  digging in my ribbon box, I came across some "left-over" purplish pink ribbon roses -  It's time to create something new... Is it working? May b not for everyone  :)

Here's what I did, mixing those ribbon roses with faceted glass beads in a "feminine" necklace with a pair of matching earrings.

Mother of Pearl Flower Pendants Necklace, Bracelet & Earrings (NK,ER, BR027)

Mother of Pearls are from sea shells, there are many shapes, colors, textures and tones with a pearl glow that makes it unique.

There's a pile of Ivory color Mother of Pearl flower pendant sitting in the storage box, it's time to make them useful...

Pairing with some metal charms and connectors, I've created a 4 layers dangling necklace and a pair of matching earrings.

Glass Pearls with Gunmetal Chains Necklace & Earrings (NK,ER015)

Pearls are elegant and classy, but sometimes they may made us appear matronly if we style or wear them with a wrong outfit or choices a certain  design of the pearl jewelry.  There are many different types of pearls regardless of their value e.g.  plastic pearls, glass pearls, cultured pearls, mother of pearls, shell pearls etc... which may comes in different shapes and sizes.  It has a unique shine that is totally different from any other surface...As my favorite fashion icon Coco Chanel loved to match her outfits with pearls jewelry and accessories.

I always love to use pearls in my jewelry designs, mix and match them with "rougher" looking beads or other material to modernize them.  Here I like share this set of fashion jewelry that I handmade using rounded glass pearls with gunmetal chains and findings:

Gunmetal findings and finished with gunmetal lobster clasp.

Multi-strands Layered Necklaces & Earrings

I believe even twins has their own differences and  character...

I have a whole bunch of faceted glass beads and I decided to design 2 almost identical necklaces & earrings sets.  One is Clear & Milky white and the other is clear, light grey, milky white and black.  The only difference is the arrangements of beads and color combination...

Materials for both sets:

Beads:  all faceted in different shapes and sizes faceted glass beads in 6,8,10, 12mm

Cords:  I normally string all my beads using tigers tail, a nylon coated wired cord that really can hold up heavy strands of beads and also nickel metal chains.

Findings and Finishing:  Nickel metal findings, Lobster clasp and another 10cm extension.

I love Black...Black Agate Necklace, Bracelet & Earrings (018/12)

One of my black theme creation...

This is a simple necklace.  Inspired by men's shirt and  tie... 

Beads:  Black faceted Agate beads & Black glass pearls.

Findings:  Nickel and gunmetal metal findings and black chains.

A special gift for a special bride - Soo Chin

I was invited to attend my dearest friend Soo Chin & her hubby Jason's Register of Marriage ceremony on 22th November, 2011. So honored that she agreed to let me personally design and handmade a set of tiara, necklace and earrings as a gift for this memorable event.

After getting her approval of selections of beads, color tones, style, shape & other details, I started working on this set of bridal accessories.

This little tiara has a nickel hair comb base and decorate with her choices of beads. It is just something classy and elegant.

Whitney - White flowers with Silver Necklace & Earrings Set

I love this cute white flower with a clear rhinestone and decided to make something feminine and sweet.  

Combined with similar color tones like Clear, Silver, dark grey, Metallic so that it's easy on the eyes and the main reason, can be easily goes with any outfits from casual chic to evening cocktail.  Made a matching earrings, which can be use together for more formal occasion and separately depending on wearer's liking.  

I had used the similar white flower and made a set of more elaborate set as a gift for a friend's wedding dinner party and it goes well with her cute floral cocktail dress.  check out here.

A wedding gift for a dear bride, Pearlyn Teh.

My dear friend from Astro - the TV station i used to work had invited me to her wedding dinner, which was held last Sunday.
When Pearlyn called me a month before the event, I offer to design some fashion jewelries for her to go with her wedding dinner outfits.

Last bracelet, another favorite of my dear girl... golden rutile..
Since I did several different bracelets... I decided to make her something different.
This beautiful natural crystal with gold needles growing inside of the beads needs a make over...

Revamp SooChin's Natural Crystals Part III

Continuing this revamp project...
The original black rutile bracelet is gaped using rounded shaped 4mm size clear natural crystals... I decided to turn this into a modern black and nickel necklace.
Added some Jet color faceted bicone shaped Swarovski crystal beads, teardrop shaped glass beads and nickel metal connectors and other parts and finished with toggle clasp.

Revamp SooChin's Natural Crystals Part II

Soo Chin has a beautiful citrine bracelet, clear and golden...but it's bored to see just the same beads so i weaved and string them into a 2 in 1 bracelet, decorated with some similar color faceted glass beads and  rhinestones spacer wheels.
