Alexander McQueen Fall 2013 RTW Collection has only 10 looks (in black and whites) in 5 pairs this season since the designer Sarah Burton was heavily pregnant at that time while working on this collection, she still did a great job and congratulations for her new twin baby girls.
Sadly while I browsed around blogs and reports, I came across some articles which have reported about this runway show that claimed the house is "one trick pony" since Alexander passed. Well, I personally do not agree. To me, Alexander McQueen is a British brand and is strongly adapted to their culture & country, very proud of their historical influence therefore love to express this passion through fashion and Sarah is perfectly capable of continuing the late Alexander's legacy with a feminine touch.
An intimate show was held in an ornate salon of the Opera Comique on March 5th in Paris. Looking at the collection, I think the theme must have relation with "High Church" and The Virgin Queen Elizabeth I. Look closely how exquisite those detailing work are - hours spent with intricate craftsmanship on patching laces, embroideries, beading pearls, feathers... It was certainly not an easy task creating these phenomenal 10 looks.
I posted all 10 looks because I think there's a story behind this exquisite collection. I purposely enlarged the photos so that you eyes with those beautiful details. I don't know which look is my most favorite because every look has it's own unique design and details!
